2017 Resolutions

June 02, 2017

I know that we are on the 6th day of the first month of the year already and you might think that writing a New Year’s Resolution now might be a little late (haha). But somebody once told me that you should put into writing all the things that you wished to accomplish or maybe, things that you want to change in yourself in order to be more committed in doing it and to filter distractions. So, here goes my New Year’s Resolution:
  1.  Exercise regularly.
I have been trying to stick to an exercise routine for years already but no matter how hard I try, I always end up skipping a day that will eventually turn into weeks and worst of all, months. This year,  I have finally made up a routine that is not that difficult at all and that I can really do everyday (ROAD TO HAVE THAT BIKINI READY BODY).
  1. Eat Healthy
I was diagnosed with PCOS last year. Living with it has been tough since there are a lot of food that I cannot eat or I should eat in moderation. That’s why in order to control the disorder, I should really submit to a healthier lifestyle. I’ve been SLOWLY training myself to eat healthy so this year, I should really get into it.
3.  SAVE
It sucks to admit this but I still do not have any savings  This year, I will really take note of my spending and apply the equation: SALARY/INCOME – SAVINGS = EXPENSES
  1. Take a break from social media.
I have an account to almost ALL social networking sites there is on this planet. I really would want to take some time off like a week every month since last year but since I
amwas in a Long Distance Relationship, social media has become some kind of a platform for us to stay or get connected. Finally, this year, there is no need for me to be online all the time.
  1. Learn to cook.
I am not getting any younger and since I am looking into living alone, cooking will definitely save me a fortune. SO.MUST.LEARN.TO.COOK.THIS.YEAR.
  1. Find a hobby.
I have tried doing crochet and making bracelets but I tend to get easily discouraged every time I do not get the results that I want. So this year, I really want to commit in doing these things because these can definitely help me start my business.
  1. Travel
I have been starting to travel last year and it, beyond doubt, gave me something money can’t buy. I really, really love travelling since it gives me a chance to meet people plus it helps me widen my perspective. That is why  I would really want to travel more this year.
  1. Learn a new skill
The last quarter of 2016 introduced me to a group of ladies with a common interest. Most of them are into Skillshare which is an app that teaches some how-to’s. I already enrolled myself to one of the free classes in order to hone my writing. I will definitely explore the app and enrol to more classes in order to gain some new skill this year (I am planning to take the watercolour related thing haha).
  1. Sleep Early/Wake up early
🙂I have read in multiple sites and articles that successful people are early risers or what we call “Morning Person”. I really want to be successful so in order to be one, act like one .  And for me to wake up early, I also have to sleep early. This year – since I want to accomplish a lot, I need to disciple and train myself to be an early riser (plus it’s also nice to exercise in the morning which gives me another reason to wake up early).
  1. Apply eye cream and moisturizer everyday
A colleague in her 30’s once said that if she can drink a moisturizer, she will. That’s how important it is once we grow older. The same goes to an eye cream since it prevents wrinkles on the sides of our eyes and that dark circles as well. This year, I won’t be hard-headed and will apply those two  everyday for me not to look older than my age.
So that’s it for my New Year’s Resolution. I hope that I can stick to it until year-end *fingers crossed.
